The Tour of Sharjah

Since 2018, we have co-organised the Tour of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, now a world reference among UCI Class 2 races. Proven experience in the Gulf, edition after edition.

Our services

The whole event, one partner

We manage and pay all suppliers directly, simplifying logistics for the race owner and keeping costs under control.

Race operations & safety

Full race convoy: race direction, regulators, race radio, information motorbike, electronic time board, neutral service. Commissaire management, liaison with the police, medical team.

Accommodation & transport

Hotel negotiation and booking in line with UCI requirements, team and organisation vehicles, airport transfers, drivers.

Infrastructure & timing

Arches, barriers, VIP areas, protocol. Professional timing with transponders and photo-finish, results sent to the UCI and the media.

Anti-doping & medical

Liaison with the national anti-doping agency and the ITA, organisation of controls, doctors and ambulances in the convoy.

Television & media

Live production with the broadcaster, helicopter footage, visual identity, multilingual website and social media.

Partners & Gran Fondo

Sponsor search, VIP hospitality, ceremonies, and a mass-participation Gran Fondo alongside the race.

Method

Fifteen months of preparation

  1. 15 to 12 months before

    Contract, UCI registration, route design

    Hotels, permits, brand identity, team invitations, media plan

  3. 6 to 1 months before

    Technical guide, logistics, training of local commissaires, route reconnaissance

  4. Race week

    Set-up, team managers’ meeting, stages, ceremonies

  5. Afterwards

    Review, UCI report, preparation of the next edition

Legacy

Training local teams

We work first and foremost with companies from the host country and train its teams in specialist roles: commissaires, timing, race direction.

The goal, year after year: a race run by local commissaires and technicians, leaving a lasting legacy for national cycling.

The founder

Cédric Fonteneau

A lifelong cyclist, from the peloton to officiating: rare regulatory expertise, put directly at the service of each race’s success. Based in Annecy, France, 45 minutes from Geneva airport.
